Summer is coming and we all think about the beach or the pool. However, although we have a great time and it is perhaps the best season of the year, the technology suffers a lot at a time when high temperatures overheat its circuits and components. They are very fond of the heat. And you must have been scared to pick up your mobile phone when you were going to take a look between baths because it was, literally, on fire.
High temperatures are the enemy of our smartphones and their batteries. Why? Well, because UV rays impact the surface of our device and, little by little, they begin to heat its interior. This is very dangerous, as overheating can even explode the battery. So that you don’t have to come back from your vacation thinking about which mobile you are going to buy or looking for a repair place, we are going to give you some tips to protect your mobile from the heat this summer.
Enemies of sun creams and oils
It is worth that for us the use of sun creams is super important so as not to end up with burns or diseased skin, but our devices have to be far from these protective liquids. Inadvertently, we can manipulate them with some rest of these products on our fingers and make the liquid break our terminal. Therefore, it is important that you clean your hands or wait for the cream to dry.
Very important! If you are going to make a call, make sure your face does not have traces of sunscreen or that it is drier, it could enter the speaker or even the microphone.
Protective case? The dilemma in the summer …
Ok, protecting our mobile phone with a cover prolongs the life of our terminal. However, in the summer it can do the opposite effect. Think about going to the beach one August day with a coat, what would you think? You would go through a dead heat, so it is better that you remove the case from your mobile phone.
Although the sand may scratch your mobile, overheating your terminal can play a trick on you. Therefore, I recommend that you store your smartphone well so as not to scratch it, but without the case.
Give your poor mate a break
Holidays are to disconnect, and it is better not to use your phone too much. If you can’t stand it, try to avoid heavy applications that require a greater effort from the phone device as they will heat it up even more. The same goes for setting the screen brightness high so you can see in the sun or using it while charging with a portable battery. If you do, you run the risk of your phone breaking down due to overheating.
Keep it away from sand and water
It is important that you take care of your smartphone, and in summer there are two agents who can jeopardize your protective plan. If you have followed the previous advice to remove the case, even more so, you will have to move your mobile phone away from the sand if you do not want it to be scratched.
On the other hand, even if your device is waterproof or even submersible, the salty seawater could damage a component. Especially when it dries up and some traces of seawater remain. The same happens in the pool with chlorine, but it is less dangerous. Our recommendation is that you avoid water and that, if you get it wet, try to clean it with a towel.
Finally, as a final tip, apart from having a great time this summer, it might be a good idea to take an old terminal that you don’t mind spoiling. The older, the better, so you can relax and forget about the world.
